When you use CareerLook, we may collect the following information:

• Account information — name, email address, WhatsApp number, Telegram username
• CV / Resume — uploaded PDF files stored securely for ATS checking and resume building features
• Payment information — subscription plan and payment status. We do not store card details. All payments are processed by Razorpay
• Usage data — pages visited, jobs saved, filters applied, login times
• Referral data — referral codes and click tracking for our refer & earn programme

We use your information to:

• Deliver daily job alerts to your WhatsApp or Telegram
• Manage your subscription and provide access to your chosen channels
• Run AI-powered features such as ATS Checker and Resume Builder
• Send important account notifications — subscription status, expiry reminders, verification emails
• Improve our platform, fix bugs, and analyse usage patterns
• Prevent fraud and abuse of the platform

Your data is stored on secure servers. CV files are stored as WordPress media attachments and only accessible to you. Passwords are hashed using WordPress's bcrypt implementation — we never store plain-text passwords.

By providing your WhatsApp number or Telegram username, you consent to receiving job alert messages from CareerLook on those platforms. You can stop alerts at any time by removing your number from Settings in your dashboard or by cancelling your subscription.

We do not share your WhatsApp or Telegram contact with any third party, including the companies whose jobs we list.

CareerLook uses the following third-party services which may process your data:

• Razorpay — payment processing (Razorpay Privacy Policy)
• Groq AI — powers the ATS Checker and Resume Builder features
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in via Google account

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain your session. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. If you have enabled Google Analytics via our admin settings, anonymised usage data may be collected by Google.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Download or export your data

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. CV files are deleted immediately upon your request or account deletion.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a dashboard notification. Continued use of CareerLook after changes constitutes acceptance.
